Upcoming ALS Association Events: Join Us in the Fight Against ALS

Hello everyone,

As the founder of Kinship, I want to take a moment to share some important events coming up that are very close to my heart. As many of you know, in 2018, I lost my father, John Geniviva, to ALS. During that incredibly difficult time, the ALS Association Western PA Chapter provided my family with invaluable support and comfort. Now, as a board member, I am dedicated to helping this amazing organization continue its mission to defeat ALS.

Annual Pittsburgh CEO Soak - August 8th

Mark your calendars for August 8th, because this year’s Annual Pittsburgh CEO Soak is going to be an unforgettable event! Company executives from all over the area will gather at the PPG Fountains to get soaked in a “dressed-up version of the ice bucket challenge.” This year is particularly special as it marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the original Ice Bucket Challenge.

Event Description:

"Inspired by the Ice Bucket Challenge, the CEO Soak has quickly grown to become one of the premier corporate engagement opportunities and entertaining events for the ALS Association. The CEO Soak engages community leaders to get soaked once again for ALS while raising critical funds and awareness for The ALS Association's mission."

We are excited to be part of this event and contribute to the cause. If you would like to support Kinship's fundraising efforts, please consider donating to our page: Donate to Kinship's CEO Soak Fundraiser.

Walk to Defeat ALS - September 14th

Following the CEO Soak, we have another important event on September 14th: the Walk to Defeat ALS. This annual walk is a powerful demonstration of our community’s commitment to ending ALS, and it is always a deeply moving and inspiring day.

My family and I participate in this walk each year to honor my father and to support the ALS Association’s mission. This year, as a board member, I am even more committed to making a difference. If you would like to join us or support our efforts, please visit our family’s team fundraiser page: Donate to Our Walk to Defeat ALS Team.

Why Your Support Matters

Every dollar raised through these events goes directly to funding critical research, providing support to families affected by ALS, and spreading awareness about this devastating disease. Your generosity can make a real impact in the fight against ALS.

Thank you for your continued support and for standing with us in this important cause. Together, we can make a difference and move closer to a world without ALS.

With gratitude,

Lauren
