Giving Tuesday 2023 RECAP

This Giving Tuesday held a profound significance for me and our team as we channeled our collective efforts to make a meaningful impact in the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). In 2018, I lost my father to this devastating disease, and since then, we have been committed to supporting the ALS Association through various initiatives, including monthly donations as part of the ALS Allies program. This year, our Giving Tuesday initiative took a special form — an Instagram story sale featuring gift boxes at discounted prices, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Give Big Pittsburgh Fundraiser for the ALS Association.

Why ALS?
My personal connection to ALS has fueled our dedication to supporting the ALS Association. Losing my father to this cruel disease was a painful experience that underscored the urgency of finding a cure and supporting those affected. Through our ongoing efforts, we aim to contribute to the crucial work of the ALS Association in research, patient care, and advocacy.

The Instagram Story Sale:
Harnessing the power of social media, we shared our story and mission through a series of Instagram stories. The sale featured thoughtfully curated gift boxes, each designed to bring joy and comfort during the holiday season. Our community responded with incredible generosity, purchasing the gift boxes with the knowledge that every cent would contribute to the Give Big Pittsburgh Fundraiser.

Our Ongoing Commitment:
Our involvement with the ALS Association goes beyond Giving Tuesday. We are proud participants in the ALS Allies program, making monthly donations to support ongoing research and initiatives. Additionally, we contribute gift boxes for donors and caregivers during Caregiver Awareness Month, recognizing the vital role caregivers play in the ALS community. Furthermore, a percentage of our overall sales is consistently donated to the ALS Association.
